The Oberle Three

Spring is here...and almost summer!

It has already gotten hot out, pretty soon we will be hanging out in the water all the time.  We went out to the barn on Saturday to let Cameron meet the new foals and look at the cows
The mare was being very protective of the foal, so we didn't get any close ups of the foals since I was holding Cameron.
He did great with Darby, but for some reason he did not like her face...weird...

My parents and Grandma came to visit over Spring Break.  I couldn't resist taking this picture of all 3 of them in one of Clif's work trucks:)

Cameron helped build his new big boy bed!

We're also finding time for some activities indoors.  As it gets hotter, I'm feeling less and less like getting my pregnant self out in the heat!  Happy Spring:)

21 Weeks

This was taken a few weeks ago, as right now I am about 24 weeks pregnant.  Nonetheless, I thought I'd share my poor iphone picture:)

We've been getting a few things together but not much yet really.  Going to have to go hit the boxes and dig out all the stuff we'll need.  It is handy that our #2 will be another little boy:)

Little Stinker...

Tonight, Clif and I asked C what he would like to name the baby.  He promptly replied, "Monster". I could not quit laughing:)

Right now at 28 months old, one of his favorite games is "Ready, Set, GO!"  And then, he wants you to race him.  But regardless of whoever is ahead when he decides the race is over, he always proudly pronounces " I win!"

Thanksgiving and an Announcement!

This year, we traveled out to West Texas for Thanksgiving and hung out with my whole family.  My parents brought this piano down for us to have at our house but Cameron had lots of fun playing with Great-Grandma Vogler before it left Lamesa...

Also on this particular evening Clif and I were going to announce to our family that Baby Oberle #2 is on its way!  I stole the idea from my friend Erin on how to tell them.  Basically we took a before picture where we said "Cheese!"....see below...
Now, "We're Pregnant!!"

I love my mom's face!  I think Dad was asking someone "What did she say??" haha  Great idea, thanks Erin!  Baby Oberle #2 is due July 11th and we are all very excited!

On Thanksgiving Day, we hung around at Grandma Vogler's house but I don't have any pictures!  The next day, we went to Lubbock to have Thanksgiving with the Thornton side.  After dinner, the cousins went with the kids to The Polar Express Train.  Cameron enjoyed everything at first, but it soon became overwhelming and he told my mom, "Ready to go to Daddy's truck!"

In PJs ready to go!

Cousin Wesley!

Wesley, Logan and George the Cat
Ready to Board!

All of us!

"Let's go home Mommy!"
Good times in West Texas!

What we've been up to..

So I just wanted to get some pics up here so I would remember everything!  This past Halloween Cameron was a DINO! (RARRRRR he would say)

We went trick-or-treating around the neighborhood with the Albrights and all had a great time!

On a free Saturday we went to Dewberry farms.  This place has a little petting zoo area, tons of things for the kids to play on and a pumpkin patch.  We played on the fun things but didn't venture out into the pumpkin patch this year.  Since we have had very little rain this past fall, we heard the pumpkins were "transplanted" (from the grocery store if you get my drift) into the pumpkin patch.
Boy does this kid love tractors...

This slide was lots of fun...for Cameron.  It was really difficult to get on with him without sliding down it while trying to sit down...
We had a great time this past fall with some fun adventures:)

2 Years!

I cannot believe this little guy is 2 years old.  I used to hear moms saying things like "they grow up so fast" etc.  But I find myself getting sad, when I think that one day this little guy MIGHT move out...of course he is welcome to live with Mommy for the rest of his life as far as I'm concerned:)  ( I know, I know...I won't be singing the same tune when he's a teenager:)

Clif and I were talking and we both think that Cameron is at such a fun age!  He cracks me up constantly.  He will repeat anything you say and he is also becoming a little bit easier to reason with.  For instance, consider this conversation while we were driving in the car.
Cameron:  "Mommy, cat?" ( wanting to see the cat app on my iphone)
Me: "How about we look at the cat when we get to the house?"
Cameron: "OK!!" (smiling from ear to ear in the backseat)
....2 seconds later
Cameron: "Mommy, cat?"
Me: "When we get to the house OK?"
Cameron: "House!! OK!!"

It was that easy!! Of course, most things are not this easy...like nap time, or not being able to play with his trains...but I love that he is beginning to understand a FEW things..

Happy happy birthday little wild man!!

It's Fall!

I love fall! It is probably my favorite season!  The ridiculously hot weather eases, pumpkin flavors abound and football is everywhere.  I was browsing around pinterest for fall ideas and came across this luminary idea..
So...I decided to give it a try...here is the finished product on my mantle

I think it turned out great!  However, I thought this would be a super easy project.  Hot glue did not work against the glass so I went to Hobby Lobby and bought glass adhesive which worked much better.

I'm loving my fall-ish mantle!
