Thanksgiving and such
For Thanksgiving this year, we trekked out to Lamesa for a week. Cameron and I went up a few days early so that we could spend more time up there. We got to see PawPaw finish the harvest and hung out with Grammy and Grandma Vogler. Cameron did TERRIBLE on the plane. I was "that person"...complete with the looks from strangers on the plane. You know the look....I'm sure I've given the look before to some parent with a screaming kid. But, I will never give "the look" again. I was thankful to get off that plane and be in Midland.
| Cameron feeling cotton- not the first time- he was in Lamesa for the harvest last year too but he was only weeks old. |

| What are we doing now? I convinced my Grandma Vogler to come home to Sugar Land with us for a couple of weeks and help me get all my sewing done. You should see the house...it looks fantastic!! |

The other Dr. Oberle...
We're aspiring for greatness:)
(Yes, I shoved a hat on him that was too small and gave him this cheap stethoscope to play with)

1 Year!
Wow! I can't believe that Cameron is over a year old already. It seems like just yesterday, Clif and I were heading to Applebee's to get a bite to eat before I went into the hospital to be induced:)
Here are a few pictures from some happenings of life lately. Actually I'll include pictures of things since I last posted ( almost 3 months ago!)
He climbs on everything these days...
Our fantastic birthday party! He had a train themed party with all of his little friends and he had a great time with one of the train cars that he ate.
At the pumpkin patch at Dewberry Farms we went to last Saturday with some of our friends. He absolutely loves being outside and getting dirty. Maybe he wants us to return to West Texas eh? :)
We love our little boy and pray that God guides us as we try and raise him to love the Lord with all of his heart. What a wonderful year!

9 months!
Well....we're in Sugar Land! Clif is really enjoying his job and I am going to be working at a clinic one day a week for right now. It's so hot here, really just much more humid than Gainesville was but I'm sure we'll get used to it in time. Cameron recently had his 4th haircut!! It made him look so grown up, I was sad:( But he sure did look cute!

Bathtime!!
This past Memorial day weekend- we went to Longview to visit my brother and his wife. Cameron did great although he didn't appreciate being made to sit in his carseat for 3 1/2 hours:) And, he let me know he didn't appreciate it- by screaming the entire way to Longview and promptly smiling at me everytime I stopped the car to check on him and make sure he was OK...little stinker. I was giving him a bath in the kitchen sink and he just started giving us a show so I told my brother to go grab his camera...and here's the results...enjoy:)

The Next Chapter
Well- the cat is out of the bag. This Oberle family is going to be moving to the Katy area sometime this summer. Clif has accepted a job that was a great opportunity for him. I do not yet have a job. For those of you that don't know ( if anyone actually reads this thing), Cameron has something called Optic Nerve Hypoplasia. This condition means that he is blind in his left eye- his right eye seems to be normal at this point. There can be some associated things with this condition so we have been going to countless doctors to make sure my baby is OK:) It has been a rough couple of months but we are getting through it. Cameron is just perfect to me and I know God gave us a very special little boy.
I am not yet sure what my job situation will be - I will likely continue to work in some capacity to keep my licenses current and so I can stay current with everything. We'll just have to see.
This Sunday will be my first Mother's Day and I couldn't be more proud to be Cameron West Oberle's Mom. Here's to you little man!!

6 months!
Cameron turned 6 months on the 16th of this month. WOW! He is such a big boy- and I mean that figuratively and literally. We went for his 6 month well check and he is STILL in the 100th percentile for almost all of his values. At 6 months he:
- is eating several solid foods including sweet potatoes, squash, bananas, (tried peaches but he didn't like them), peas, green beans, and prunes
- has tried drinking from a sippy cup but mainly just bangs it around
- loves his bouncy saucer- he just jumps and jumps and jumps...
- babbles- he just usually makes noise and some consonants come out sometimes
- watches Yogi go by...and hopes Yogi doesn't lick him in the face
- eats ~6oz 5 times per day
- LOVES Clif and I:)
I also planted my garden several weeks ago- it has almost doubled in size. However, I think the leaves now have a fungus from all the rain we have had- so I treated it yesterday- here's hoping I don't lose everything

The Easter Bunny!!
... a week early. We came to Houston for the weekend to celebrate our 5th anniversary. Actually it was back a couple of weeks ago but I was working so we put off a little vacay until now. We stayed one night at a downtown hotel called Hotel Icon which was awesome!! We had some great dinner at Brennan's and celebrated in style. Where was little Cameron? Oh, he was with Mimi and Pappy for the evening:) And...he did great. He loves to see us but certainly doesn't mind for us to leave him either.

Saturday morning, we met up with them at the church Easter Egg Hunt. Cameron sat around and looked at all the pretty eggs. But he did get to try out his new stroller and sunglasses..
It was such a great time, and he got to meet the Easter bunny!! Whoop!

Another one already?!?
Cameron got his first tooth the same day that he had his 4 month well check- that was... February 17th I believe. Well this evening he was just jabbering away and doing this funny thing with his tongue. I felt his tooth...and lookee there....another one!! Right beside the 1st one. If I can get the little guy to stay still long enough I will get a picture. They are both on the bottom, his middle two incisors. And he's so happy about it...I wouldn't have even known he was cutting a tooth had I not stuck my finger in his mouth!!:)
We went to Lamesa this past weekend to celebrate my Grandma Vogler's 87th birthday- she knew we were coming but she didn't know we were going to have a little surprise lunch for her. We ate a lot and had some good cake. She is such a special lady- I hope we have many more years with her!

Jealous!!
When Cameron was 3 months old, we took him to the Doctor because he had a little cough. When they put him in the little chair to weigh him, the nurse distracted Cam with the mobile above his head. He laughed....and laughed...and laughed. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen.
The tragic thing is, I can't get the kid to laugh at anything I do!!! So here we are, about 1 month later and I still haven't heard him laugh again.
Fast forward to last night: From time to time, I work at an emergency clinic in Flowermound for some extra $$. Last night, I worked there and Clif took care of Cameron. He had him layed down on the changing table and was wiping his little neck with a wipie and then kind of tickled his little chin and HE LAUGHED!!!!!!!!!! I was so sad I couldn't see it- and very jealous:(
I do have some good pics of him smiling though- he got very tickeld at my mom the other night when they were visiting and gave us lots of big grins.

Getting better!
Cameron had to have nebulization treatments due to his RSV. We ended up taking him to the ER on Sunday night because he woke me up struggling to breathe. They admitted him and we stayed 3 days and hopefully he is on the mend now! His Pappy ( Clif's Dad) came to visit these past couple of days so that Clif and I could both go to work and Cameron didn't have to go to daycare.
On another note- we had tons of snow here- our cars were covered this morning- Yogi loves it!!

RSV :(
Cameron turned 16 weeks this past Friday!! It's hard to believe the little guy will be 4 months old on the 16th of this month. For the past several weeks he has been battling a little respiratory bug that just wouldn't leave him alone. We took him to the dr. several times and they kept testing him for RSV and it kept coming back negative so we were just giving him some pediatric decongestant. Well Friday morning, he woke up with his eye swollen and wheezing...uh-oh. I called the Dr. and we headed over to Sherman. His RSV test was positive and he put him on breathing treatments- it's so sad- he just can't breathe because he is so stopped up!! Poor little guy- hope he gets better soon- I will post a couple of recent pics soon hopefully:)

10 weeks...er 12.5 weeks:)
The latest picture I have uploaded are some of Cameron when he was 10 weeks old ( 2.5 weeks ago:) so that's what I shall post. He is smiling now but is not just all smiles all the time...he has these times that he looks very serious. His daddy has a reputation for being serious as well so we figure Cam probably inherited some of this.
He is sleeping great now 8-9 hours a night and weighs 18 pounds! Yes, I know- we have a big boy. At his 2 month appointment he was in the 98th percentile for his weight, the 94th for his height and the 76th for the circumference of his head. His pediatrician just said he's a big boy! He sure is fun to have around- and Yogi likes him too!
